A Woman’s Heart – JoAnn Ross

This review is by guest reviewer/blogger Sharon.

A Woman’s Heart – JoAnn Ross

This book is set in Ireland in a small town that is quite independent from the rest of the country.  An American company is coming to town to film a movie and there is not enough room for everyone to stay, so Nora ends up renting out a room to the screenwriter.  While she is doing this for purely financial reasons, things do not go as planned and she and her boarder fall for each other.  But what will happen when the movie is done filming?

Likes:
The characters definitely feel Irish, as the dialogue is written with an Irish brogue and phrasing that simply feels Irish.

The characters are likeable and they go through emotions that seem normal.

Dislikes:
There were points where the dialogue seemed to be all “American” even for the Irish characters.

The timeframe didn’t seem realistic – the book takes place over 30 days for the most part, and it seemed like way too much happened for it to be only 30 days.

Other:
It appears that this is the first book in a series of 3
