August 2015 reads

August is considered a "down" month in our department.  Usually we have fewer - or no - programs scheduled and many take vacation time.  I did take advantage of the lighter schedule and took a few vacation days here and there.  That is just a small part of the reason I was able to read 44 books in August.  I also latched onto an author suggested to me by a colleague, and managed to read 12 of the books (two companion series) over the last half of the month.  Yes...I was averaging a book a day.  Obviously they weren't dense literature.

Here are the books I read in August. As usual, the titles that are in bold are ones I have rated five stars on Goodreads.
