Wee Free Men

~Of Orient Are...~

Oh, wait. That's not quite right.

So, my current read is Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett. I am very much enjoying this book! It's another one of those "I can't wait to get home and read more" type of books. And I hear there is a sequel! Yay!!

There are little blue men who talk funny. A spunky girl who tackles strange creatures without much thought as to why she is seeing them, or that she should probably run away. Witches, fairies, magic and more!

In other book news, I have a growing pile of books to read next. Don't I always?

I am also looking for books to add to my MP3 player so I can listen to them whilst traveling next week. I have a couple already, but I would like one or two more backup titles...just in case I don't like what I have! Please give suggestions. In case you can't tell, I've been in a fantasy and/or historical fiction type of mode lately. Since the books I have are in the car, y'all will just have to wait to find out what the titles are. I can't remember off the top of my head, and I'm not about to go outside and check right now. lol

As I mentioned, I'll be traveling soon. I leave next Wednesday for Detroit. Thursday morning, bright and early, I'll board a plane bound for Minneapolis/St. Paul. There I will wait a bit before boarding another plane bound for California...and the American Libraries Association's Annual Conference. Yay! I'll be in Anaheim until July 2, when I will fly back to Detroit (with another layover in Minneapolis/St. Paul). My plane lands on July 3. Sometime that day I'll make the 3.5 hour drive back home to Yo-town.

I haven't read them, but thanks to a sister who's a fan, there are two sequels: after A Hat Full of Sky is The Wintersmith. Also, a movie of The Wee Free Men is in production.
