Picture Book Promos
It’s been a while since I’ve shared some picture books. Here are a few I’ve read lately:
When Carlotta learns she has been adopted, she imagines what her new family will be like. None of her fantastic dreams compare to the reality of having the best family in the world. This is a wonderful adoption tale that originated in Spain.
Annabelle doesn’t want to look the same as all the other girls in school, so asks her mother to style her hair in a big bouffant, just like Grandma’s. At first the other girls, in their ponytails and pigtails, giggle and laugh at Annabelle’s new ‘do. Soon, however, everyone in school thinks big hair is cool.
Ollie the zebra loves to sing wherever he can, but by himself and with his friends. This adorable rhyming book is sure to appeal to toddlers and preschoolers who love to sing.
Rhyming text tells the tale of many breeds of dogs as they shed, sled, run and have fun, ending with the question: What is your dog doing?
Playing outside on a tree swing, a little girl soars through a palette of rich hues found in nature. The illustrations wonderfully capture the joyful playing of childhood.
