Lace II – Shirley Conran
This was the sequel to the book, Lace. This book follows the same format in that we start with an event, and then we go back in time to see all the events that lead up to it, and then we go back to current time and resolve the issue.
This book, like the first one, did not overly hold my interest and as a result it took me a while to get to it. There was a bit of suspense at the end as they were resolving things, but you knew how things would likely resolve, which took of the suspense away and I just wanted it to end.
The story in this book is Lili trying to figure out who her father is. Her mother wants to cling to the story that she has always told, but no one believes the truth of this story. While some find out the truth, others do not. I am not sure that this really resolves itself in this book in a satisfactory way due to the details, but the readers do find out the truth.
